Bacon Crock Pot Chicken

I am couch surfing at my friend Tab’s for the next month. That means group grocery shopping and shared meals. Up first is this mouth-watering, fall-off-the-bone chicken. She mentioned a fellow crossfitter cooking chicken legs in the crock pot. Great idea, but why not make it better? Let’s wrap it in bacon! Oh man this sealed in the flavor and made it juicy. Tab’s verdict? You knocked it out of the park with that chicken Brittany. There you have it, this chicken rocks.

Bacon Crock Pot Chicken

  • 4 Chicken Quarters
  • Melted grass-fed butter
  • 12 slices of bacon
  • sea salt and pepper to season
  • sliced onion
  • 1 diced apple
  • 1/2 cup bone broth
  • sliced peppers

Let’s Make it Happen: I tossed a little bit of onion, pepper, apple, sea salt, and bone broth in the bottom of a crock pot. Use your hands to lather your bird legs. Make sure to get under the skin and all. Season. Wrap each quarter in 3 pieces of bacon. Cook on high for an hour. Turn it down to low overnight. Now I had to work so I just turned it to warm until I got. Unbelievable, that’s what this chicken was.
