Bacon Wrapped Steaks

Let’s finish this week off with another: I would actually eat this (everyday) dish. I saw this beautiful little steaks at the grocery the other day. Hmm… the bacon-lover who lives full-time in my brain demanded to get in on whatever I intended to make with these steaks. So What else could I do. I seasoned these bad boys up, locked in the flavor, by wrapping them in bacon and tossed them in the skillet.

Bacon Wrapped Steaks

  • Steaks
  • Bacon
  • Sea Salt
  • Cinnamon
  • Cayenne Pepper
  • Trader Joe 21 Salute Seasoning

Let’s Make it Happen: I seasoned them. Sea salt and cinnamon on one side, pepper and Salute on the other. I am weird about seasoning, but I love a sweet/savory blend. I like a little kick and I like variety (that’s just me, but feel free to flex your seasoning profile muscles here). Next I wrapped stripes of bacon around the steaks. Bacon Fat Grilled Steaks

How can you not like bacon? Tab an I have been doing some major bacon accessorizing lately. That means I’ve had some bacon fat to spare. This is a very good thing. On the said friend night (click for the Butternut Apple Bake and to know what I’m talking about), Tab bought some monster sirloin. Since we had some time to wait for guests, I was down for marinating them. Not only did I season the shit out of them, but why not melt some bacon fat to smother on them? Oh yes, so juicy, spicy, and flavor packed! A great summer wind down grill out.

While we had that grill cranked up the other day, we tossed on some steaks. Tab threw them on some baked bellas, served them with a salad and BOOM a fabulous afternoon meal.

  • 2 portabella mushroom caps

Let’s Make it Happen: Season steaks, Naturally I used a combinations of flavors including: red pepper, sea salt, 21 seasoning and a tiny bit of cinnamon. Cook to your doneness.
